The Special Investigation Team (SIT) police investigating the alleged multi-crore liquor scam grilled former A.P. State Beverages Corporation Limited (APSBCL) Managing Director (MD) D. Vasudeva Reddy on Thursday.

The investigating officers questioned Mr. Vasudeva Reddy, who was also the Commissioner of Distilleries and Beverages, on changing the liquor policy, cash sales, collusion with other accused, including the owners of shell companies, some public representatives and bureaucrats, and other accused in the scam.

The IRTS officer, who is Accused No.2 in the liquor scam, was questioned at the SIT Office, the police said.

The accused allegedly caused huge loss to the government. The police so far identified 51 accused, of which 16 were arrested, the SIT officials said.
