Thirumavalavan has said. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday evening after meeting the family of John, a physically challenged Scheduled Caste youth who was murdered along with a migrant worker from Odisha at Perumpathu Indra Colony on Monday night, Mr. Thirumavalavan said attackers from a ‘dominant group’ had murdered two persons and hacked seven others without any prior enmity. Similar attack had been unleashed in Sivaganga district by an armed gang on Thursday. The exact motive behind these disturbing attacks could not be understood as the innocents were being targeted.
