Transport Minister flags off 12 new CNG buses in Rameswaram

Minister for Transport S.S. Sivasankar flagged off 12 new CNG buses in Rameswaram on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “As the Transport Department is implementing various projects with modern technologies to protect the environment, we continue to launch schemes to operate buses through electricity and CNG. As many as 650 electric buses are operated in Chennai in the first phase, and it has been proved to be greatly beneficial for the public and helps protect the environment.”
