Railway Protection Force and Kerala State Excise Department seized 53.9 kg cannabis in a joint operation at Palakkad Junction Railway Station on Wednesday, at Palakkad. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT In a significant enforcement action, joint teams of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Palakkad Division and the Kerala State Excise Department carried out an intensive special drive from Monday across key railway stations. The drive was conducted to prevent the unauthorised transportation of contraband items through the rail network. The operation resulted in the seizure of 59.8 kg of dry ganja worth ₹29.9 lakh along with 13.5 litres of Indian-made foreign liquor valued at ₹17,000.
