Chandrababu Naidu said in a social media post that the HPCL Visakh Refinery’s new Residue Upgradation Facility (RUF), which features three of the heaviest reactors in the world, was a major milestone for Andhra Pradesh in the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision. Mr. Naidu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his vision in strengthening the Visakh Refinery to support the nation’s energy security and expressed confidence that the VRMP contributes to the emergence of the East Coast as a world-class refining hub. The CM tagged a message by the Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, where he said Bharat’s journey towards achieving the energy sector reached a milestone with the successful commissioning of the Visakh Refinery RUF.
