A Sri Lankan woman was arrested for allegedly obtaining an Indian passport using forged documents and attempting to travel to Sri Lanka. Based on a complaint lodged on Monday by the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO), Chennai International Airport, with the Central Crime Branch (CCB), Chennai City Police, a case was registered against Baby Lona, 48, a Sri Lankan national. The complaint stated that she had concealed her Sri Lankan citizenship and fraudulently secured an Indian passport in her name using fake documents and was attempting to travel to Sri Lanka.
