The mandatory requirement of NEET-UG for admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) programmes has been deferred to the 2027–28 academic year, according to an official notification issued by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP). In a notification dated March 2, 2026, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, the Commission stated that NEET-UG will not be applicable for admissions in the 2026–27 academic year owing to logistical considerations.
