Rammohan Naidu on Tuesday has requested Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to sanction new trains to Secunderabad and Tirupati from Srikakulam. He met Mr. Vaishnav in New Delhi and discussed various pending projects including the South Coast Railway Zone (SCoR) Zone works. He said that full-fledged operations of the new railway zone headquartered at Visakhapatnam and new trains would benefit North Andhra region in all aspects. He also sought the halting of train at Mandasa, Pathapatnam, Harischandrapuram and other places in Srikakulam district. Mr. Vaishnav responded positively on the demand for the early completion of new railway over bridges, under bridges and other infrastructure. Mr. Rammohan Naidu said that air-rail connectivity integration in all States would benefit both air and rail travellers across the country.
