Nowshad P. M. has assumed charge as the managing director of Oil Palm India Limited. According to an official statement, Mr. Nowshad earlier served as managing director of Muziris Heritage Projects Limited under the Department of Tourism. He had also held the position of director (projects) at the Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council Keralam and served asproject director ofAgricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) in the capacity of joint director of agriculture, where he oversaw agricultural extension activities and farmer oriented programmes. An agriculture graduate with an MBA and multiple postgraduate qualifications, he is a certified independent director and a national level trainer in e-governance. Upon assuming office, Mr. Nowshad said his priorities at Oil Palm India Limited would include strengthening farmer support systems, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring the welfare and well being of employees and promoting sustainable oil palm cultivation.
