The Ethiraj College for Women opens startup incubation centre in its premises on Tuesday. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement The Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai on Tuesday opened a startup incubation centre on its premises with the objective of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The centre was inaugurated by Asha Ajith, Project Director, TNWeSafe, in the presence of Sivarajah Ramanathan, Managing Director and CEO, StartupTN; C.K. Kumaravel and Veena Kumaravel, co-founders of Natural Salon; and V.M. Muralidharan, Chairman, and S. Uma Gowrie, Principal and Secretary of Ethiraj College. According to a press release, the centre has been designed to create an inspiring and vibrant atmosphere and aims to provide a dynamic ecosystem for aspiring women entrepreneurs. It will facilitate ideation, collaboration and pitching, and help students conceptualise business models and undertake research.
