The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) student chapter of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, has been honoured with the Outstanding Chapter Activities Award 2025 by the India Chapter of ACM, the world’s leading professional organization for computing. The award was officially announced at a ceremony held at IIT Hyderabad. The recognition comes in appreciation of the chapter’s technical excellence, diversity of initiatives, and impactful student engagement. Flagship programmes such as Evolumin, O-Labs, Epochon, and the Agentic AI Hackathon, along with summer school programmes for school students and bridge courses for junior students, played a key role in securing this national recognition. The student chapter has been functioning under the leadership of office bearers Akhil Menon, B. Vasudev and Dr. Prema Nedungadi, associate dean, School of Computing .
