Anbalagan has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding Statehood for Puducherry. The memorandum was handed over to Mr. Modi during his visit to Puducherry on Sunday. It said the Legislative Assembly had passed several resolutions demanding Statehood for Puducherry. But the Central government has not considered the demand.
