Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy found fault with BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao’s accusations of a scam in e-auction of mining in Suryapet and said the BRS has been surviving on baseless allegations and misleading the public.

In response to KTR’s letter, he said, “Those suffering from jaundice see the whole world as yellow. KTR is behaving similarly as the BRS was involved in looting Telangana at every opportunity.” He alleged that KTR believes that whoever occupies the Chief Minister’s chair would indulge in corruption, “just as he and his father allegedly did.” The MP further alleged that only a handful of leaders controlled the BRS and benefited during its decade-long rule.

He said Rahul Gandhi came to Telangana to strengthen the organisational structure of the Congress party. “In our party, everyone is a leader,” he said, contrasting it with what he termed as “family rule” in the BRS. He added that concepts such as structured training programmes for district presidents “do not exist in the BRS dictionary.”

Taking aim at Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Mr. Chamala said he should focus on development plans for Telangana instead of making statements merely to make headlines in newspapers.
