A trader died under mysterious circumstances after he went to Melmaruvathur to purchase pots. Police said R. Ananthakumar, 48, of Idaiyankulam near Sivagiri procured pots from Melmaruvathur-based manufacturer Balasubramanian and sold them in Sivagiri. When he went to Melmaruvathur on February 28 to buy pots, he had an altercation with a unit worker S. Vignesh, 32, of Tiruvarur and was allegedly involved in a scuffle with him.
