The Kerala government has increased wages of workers engaged in tourist destinations under Clean Destination scheme to ₹500 per day. The decision will benefit around 645 workers drawn from the pool of Kudumbashree volunteers and engaged by District Tourism Promotion Councils (DTPCs) in destinations across the State. Earlier, the government had increased their wages from ₹350 to ₹450 per day, according to a statement here on Monday.
