They called for action against the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak (RSS), alleging that it was ‘fanning communal passions’ among students in the Andhra University. The participants urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to initiate immediate measures to curb the activities of the RSS within the university campus. They also demanded the arrest of RSS activists and BJP-affiliated unions. They alleged that they are disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in the campus by raking communal issues indulging in attacks on students, teachers and staff.
