NIMHANS to host three-day international conference on clinical neuropsychology from March 5

NIMHANS is to host a three-day international conference on ‘Clinical Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience’ (I-CNCNC 2026) from March 5 in Bengaluru. The conference will be held on the theme, ‘Brain Health: From Theory to Practice’.

The event, along with a one-day pre-conference workshop, aims to bring together mental health professionals, clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, neuroscientists, researchers, engineers, and students working in the area of neurocognition and brain health.

Organisers said clinical neuropsychology has emerged as a critical and evolving sub-speciality within clinical psychology, with growing relevance to assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation and interdisciplinary clinical practice. The conference seeks to strengthen conceptual and evidence-based approaches in clinical neuropsychology, while situating them within contemporary developments in cognitive neuroscience and allied applied domains.

The programme will blend academic deliberations with skill-based workshops designed to bridge theory and clinical practice. According to an official release, the forum is intended to serve as a translational platform where advances in basic neuroscience are discussed in the context of patient care and rehabilitation.

The pre-conference and conference workshops will cover a wide range of themes, including the application of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, psychotherapies in neuropsychological rehabilitation, neuromusicology, brain-computer interface technologies, and forensic neuropsychology.

Experts from India and abroad are expected to participate, presenting research findings and clinical insights relevant to brain health and cognitive functioning.
