Poster of the show | Photo Credit: Prime Video Streaming service Prime Video has announced the new season of its acclaimed show, Aspirants. Created and produced under the banner of The Viral Fever (TVF), the season 3 of the show is directed by Deepesh Sumitra Jagdish. It will premiere on Prime Video on March 13. The show stars Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Abhilash Thapliyal, Sunny Hinduja, Namita Dubey, and Tengam Celine, with Jatin Goswami as the newest addition to the cast As per a press release, the new season follows DM Abhilash (Naveen) across two timelines. “In the present, an inquiry is initiated against him following allegations made by ALC Sandeep Ohlan, putting his personal relationships with Deepa, Guri, Dhairya, SK, and Sandeep under strain while disrupting his professional goals against a new rival. In the past, after qualifying for the IRS, a young Abhilash chooses to prepare for the IAS one final time from Mukherjee Nagar, navigating new friendships and rivalries,” read the synopsis. Speaking about the new season, Vijay Koshy, President and Business Head, The Viral Fever said in a statement, “Season 3 allows us to explore Abhilash’s world at a crucial stage of his life, as personal and professional challenges test him in new ways. Through dual timelines, we revisit his final attempt at the IAS examination while in the present he deals with the consequences of the path he has chosen.” The first season of the show streamed on the platform in 2021 and told the story of three friends preparing for the UPSC exams. It was followed by the second season in 2023.
