A special midnight mobilisation exercise was conducted by the Khairatabad Zone police near the Telangana Secretariat to assess and strengthen emergency response preparedness. The drill was carried out under the supervision of K. Shilpavalli, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Khairatabad Zone, following directions from Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar to enhance readiness during emergency situations. Around 275 personnel, ranging from Home Guards to Assistant Commissioners of Police from all police stations under the Khairatabad Zone, participated in the exercise. The mock drill focused on testing how quickly personnel could converge at a designated point during an emergency situation. Officials said the objective was to ensure rapid field deployment and coordinated action during critical situations. Speaking on the occasion, DCP Shilpavalli said public safety remained the primary duty of the police and stressed the importance of swift mobilisation at all times.
