The State Task Force (STF)- A team carried out raids in the Dhoolpet and seized 5.564 kg of ganja. Four persons, identified as Shyam Sushil, Raja Singh, Kunal and Santosh Singh, were arrested in connection with the case. Excise officials stated that a case has been registered against seven more individuals who are currently absconding. The arrested accused surrendered the ganja and the two-wheelers at the Doolpet Excise Station. Efforts are underway to trace the remaining suspects. In a separate case, personnel of the Rangareddy enforcement A team arrested Vamsi Mohan Kumar for selling ganja in the Kutlur area under the Pedda Amberpet excise limits. A total of 545 grams of ganja was seized from his possession. Preliminary probe indicated that the accused had sourced the contraband from Odisha. A two-wheeler used in the commission of the offence was also seized and handed over, along with the accused, to the Pedda Amberpet Excise Station for further action. Further investigation is underway in both the cases.
