The Coimbatore District (Rural) Police seized synthetic drug methamphetamine, ganja, and cannabis-infused toffees during simultaneous surprise checks carried out in 120 locations here on Sunday (March 1, 2026). The police registered cases against 24 persons and arrested six of them, who were sent to judicial remand. The others were found in possession of ganja in minimum quantities.
