Following complaints regarding fraudulent entries made in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGRENGA) job allotment procedure, Usilampatti Block Development Officer (BDO) has sacked five worksite supervisors in Usilampatti panchayat union in connection with the complaints. Gnanasekaran, a social activist based in Madurai, who made the complaint with the Madurai District Collector, said through an investigation of the basic details regarding the MGNREGA job allotment in Nakkalapatti and Meikilarpatti panchayats in Usilamaptti panchayat union, he found the entries made in the NMMS App and Nominal Muster Roll registration had lot of discrepancies. He added that he found that the photos and the names entered in the app and the registration to be mismatching.
