A prototype named ‘Rapid compost digester’ was inaugurated on Saturday (February 28) at the Department of Biotechnology, Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, under the SIDAR initiative. The project, led by S. Sharmila Begum and mentored by S. Ramakrishna Rao, converts organic waste into nutrient-rich compost in just seven days. The ceremony was attended by K.C. Reddy, G. Madhu Kumar and Balmohan Das.
