Andhra University (AU) and Gayatri Vidya Parishad (GVP) Degree and PG College organised programmes on the occasion of National Science Day here on Saturday (February 28). Both institutions brought together students, researchers and industry experts to honour the discovery of the Raman Effect. Both campuses paid floral tributes to Nobel laureate Dr. C.V. Raman. While GVP focussed on the theme ‘Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat,’ AU celebrated the day as part of its historic Centenary Year. GVP’s chief guest P. Satish Kumar and AU Vice-Chancellor G.P. Rajasekhar both highlighted Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence as the critical frontiers for the next generation of scientists.
