AI can democratise basic research: ANRF CEO

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the capacity to democratise basic research as it enables faster knowledge exploration and accelerates simulation models, according to Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, Chief Executive Officer, Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Delivering the National Science Day address at SASTRA, a deemed university, Mr. Shivkumar stressed on the need for collaborative research in the spirit of data sharing not data Balkanisation to develop indigenous AI models to drive basic research.
