A total of 82 persons were injured during the jallikattu organised at Malayadipatti near Manapparai in Tiruchi and at Kallapatti in Perambalur district on Saturday. At Malayadipatti, 778 bulls were released into the arena with 253 tamers participating. A total of 21 persons were injured, and four of them, three tamers and an owner, were referred to the government hospital. The remaining 17 persons were treated as outpatients at the venue.
