Ashok claimed that the Government has succumbed to the protest organised by BJP and the job aspirants in Dharwad and issued recruitment orders for filling up 56,000 posts in the state. Addressing a press conference in Mysuru on Friday, Mr. Ashok said the BJP had demanded filling up of a total 2.84 lakh posts and urged the Government to clarify when the orders will be issued for filling up of the remaining vacancies. If the Government does not make an announcement in the regard, the BJP will organise a march from Hubbali to Bengaluru, he warned. He claimed that the police had given permission for the protest in Dharwad only after a letter in the regard was submitted by the BJP. Development neglected Mr. Ashok regretted that development in the state had suffered a hit due to the internal tussle between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar over the Chief Minister’s post. “No one is clearly speaking about the alleged agreement on the Chief Minister’s post,” he lamented. The people of the state are watching the “entertainment” provided by the rival factions of the two Congress leaders, he said.
