The State government has expanded the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) to mandal, divisional, and municipal levels, announced Eluru District Collector K. Vetriselvi on Sunday (January 04, 2026). The move aims to ensure faster resolution of public grievances and bring administration closer to the people, she added. The expanded PGRS services will come into effect from Monday (January 05), allowing citizens to submit their grievances at nearby mandal offices, divisional offices, and municipal offices, in addition to the existing district-level mechanism. The Collector said that the district-level PGRS programme will continue as usual at Godavari Conference Hall in the Collectorate on Monday from 10 a.m. onwards. Until now, the grievance redressal mechanism was implemented only at the district level. With the decentralisation of the system, people will no longer need to travel to the district headquarters, as they can now directly submit their complaints at the nearest administrative offices. Citizens can also lodge grievances online from their homes through the official government portal: https://meekosam.ap.gov.in. For grievance registration, status tracking and related information, people can contact toll-free helpline number 1100. The Collector said that the expanded system would ensure that public issues reach the concerned officials without delay and are resolved in a time-bound manner. She urged citizens to make full use of the facility for effective grievance redressal.
