A total of 30,514 students will appear for the second PUC annual examinations in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka from February 28 to March 17. The examinations will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Of the total candidates, 24,914 are regular students, 512 are private candidates, 5,061 are repeaters, and 24 will be appearing for improvement of results.

As many as 51 examination centres have been set up across the district, including 25 in urban areas and 26 in taluk regions. Authorities have directed Chief Superintendents to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of the examinations, with adequate police security to be deployed outside centres in coordination with local police stations.

Chief Superintendents, Joint Chief Superintendents, and special vigilance squad members have been instructed to report at their respective centres by 7.30 a.m. on examination days.

All examination personnel are expected to carry their identification card while on examination duty.

Daily CCTV camera footage must be recorded and securely stored. All centres have been inspected to ensure adequate infrastructure and functional CCTV camera systems. A webcasting facility will monitor proceedings from the zilla panchayat office.

Strict action will be initiated under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act, 2023, the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2000, the Karnataka Conduct of Examinations Act, 1983, and the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957, in case of irregularities, including disruption of CCTV camera systems.

A 200-metre radius around each examination centre has been declared a prohibited zone during exam hours, with nearby photocopy and cyber centres ordered to remain closed.

Except for the Chief Superintendent, staff are barred from using mobile phones or electronic devices within the premises.
