Non-bailable warrant issued against then Manamadurai DSP Shanmugasundaram

Madurai Chief Judicial Magistrate K. Selvapandi has issued a non-bailable warrant against the then Manamadurai Deputy Superintendent of Police N. Shanmugasundaram, one of the accused police personnel in the case of custodial death of temple security guard B. Ajith Kumar in Sivaganga district.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet and a supplementary chargesheet in the case. Five police personnel — Prabhu, Kannan, Sankara Manikandan, Raja, and Ananth — were arrested and remanded in judicial custody in the case.
