Bengaluru South City Corporation has announced that a total of 50 properties that have defaulted on property tax will be auctioned off at the Bommanahalli Zonal office on Friday. The corporation had put up 30 properties for auction on February 21, when 13 property owners paid the arrears on the spot avoiding an auction. The remaining 17 properties and 33 new properties, totalling 50 properties that have defaulted on property tax and have failed to pay the same despite repeated notices and opportunities provided to them, will be put up for auction in a distress sale, the corporation said in a statement on Thursday.
