A 74-year-old man lost ₹1.77 crore in an online investment fraud after being tricked by a fraudster who enticed the victim to invest in American commodities for good returns. Sources said the victim received a call from abroad on December 24, 2025. The caller introduced himself as Shoib Ghauri from Ventrade. Promising good returns from investment in American Commodities, the caller asked the victim to send money in Indian Rupees, which he would convert to American Dollars and invest online in commodities.
