The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has successfully coordinated the return of Anil Kumar Reddy Yeddula, who was under a ‘Red Notice’, from the UAE through Interpol channels.

According to an official communication released by the CBI on Thursday, Anil Kumar Reddy is a wanted fugitive of the Andhra Pradesh police in a case pertaining to cheating, criminal breach of trust, and criminal intimidation.

The International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU) of the CBI, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and NCB-Abu Dhabi, brought back Anil Kumar Reddy Yeddula to India on February 26, 2026.

Escorted by a team of Dubai police he arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, from Dubai. He was later handed over to a police team from Andhra Pradesh at the airport.

The CBI had published the ‘Red Notice’ through Interpol on September 5, 2022, at the request of the Andhra Pradesh police.

Anil Kumar Reddy Yeddula was arrested by UAE authorities, and a decision was subsequently taken to extradite him to India.

According to the CBI, ‘Red Notices’ issued by Interpol are circulated to law- enforcement agencies across the globe to facilitate the tracking of wanted criminals.

The CBI, as the National Central Bureau for Interpol in India, coordinates with all law enforcement agencies in the country through Bharatpol for assistance via Interpol channels.

The release also stated that more than 130 wanted criminals have been brought back to India in the last few years through coordination via Interpol channels.
