Singareni CMD Budhaprakash Jyoti and others of SCCL with a delegation of CBL Brazil in Hyderabad on Wednesday. | Photo Credit: By Arrangement HYDERABAD A high-level delegation from Brazil’s leading company Companhia Brasileira de Litio (CBL) met Chairman and Managing Director of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Buddhaprakash Jyoti and invited Singareni to partner in their lithium mining operations in Brazil. Board Director of CBL Daniel Leme and CEO Vinicius Alvarenga presented details about their company and ongoing lithium mining projects in Brazil. They explained that as lithium is a critical mineral of global importance a partnership with Singareni, given its growing interest in critical minerals, would have a bright and promising future. They also mentioned that they are in discussions with other leading companies in India regarding potential collaboration. They elaborated on the global significance of lithium as a key mineral and its commercial profitability. On behalf of Singareni, Director (Projects & Planning) K. Venkateshwarlu and Director (Personnel & Finance) Gowtham Potru shared details about the company’s profile and capabilities. Singareni officials stated that they would examine the opportunities, feasibility and profitability of lithium mining prospects in Brazil before taking a decision.
