The jallikattu organised at Kallakudi village in the district left 55 persons injured on Thursday. As many as 670 bulls were released during the eight-hour long event with the number of participating tamers being 456. Six among the injured were referred to the Government Hospitals at Lalgudi and Ariyalur and the remaining 49 were treated as out-patients at the event venue, said the police.
