Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 117.10 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 199 cusecs and a discharge of 278 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was at 41.70 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 321 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,882.89 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Thursday was (in mm): Marudhanadhi dam 32.4, Peranai 26.4, Thekkadi 24.6, Manjalar dam 16, Uthamapalayam 10.4, Mullaperiyar dam and Andipatti 6.6 each, Sothupparai dam 5.6, Kodaikanal 5.2, Veerapandi 4.6, Gudalur 3.2, Shanmuganadhi dam 2.4 and Elumalai 0.4.
