The Greater Chennai Traffic Police (GCTP) organised a ‘Road Safety Interactive Programme’ at Vepery on Wednesday for women gig workers engaged in e-commerce and delivery services such as Swiggy, Zomato, Zepto, Blinkit, Big Basket, Pink Rapido, and Porter. With increasing participation of women in last-mile delivery services, ensuring their safety on roads amid the city’s heavy traffic has become a priority for the GCTP.
