Employees affiliated to the Samsung India Workers’ Union (SIWU) plan to intensify the protest against the failure to reinstate the 27 employees who were removed from the factory in Sriperumbudur a year ago. A large number of employees of the trade union, which is affiliated to the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), decided to undertake a protest march to the Secretariat in the coming days to urge the State government to intervene in this issue and reinstate the sacked employees.
