A 17-year-old boy was gored to death by a bull and 59 others were injured in the jallikattu organised in Tiruchi on Wednesday.

The boy — E. Pradeep of Rakshandar Thirumalai in Karur district — had accompanied a bull owner for the event, said the police. The boy was gored by a bull in the right chest at the collection point in the evening and was declared brought dead at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital.
