Maanu, has sentenced 21-year-old Nagaraj Shivappa Duragannavar to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment on finding him guilty of raping a minor girl after promising to marry her. The Judge also imposed a total fine of ₹50,000. Duragannavar was found guilty of offences punishable under Section 69 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
