Madurai Bench of Madras High Court on Wednesday sought response of the State to a petition filed by an advocate who sought a direction to Kovilpatti West police in Thoothukudi district to take appropriate action against Dairy Development Minister Mano Thangaraj for his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Justice S. Srimathy directed the State to file a counter affidavit to the petition filed by M. Neethipandian, District Head of BJP advocates team, Thoothukudi North. The petitioner said he came across a social media post by Minister Mano Thangaraj linking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ‘Epstein Files’.
