Shyam Prasad chaired the District Level Review Committee and District Consultative Committee (DLRC-DCC) review meeting for the December 2025 quarter to assess the performance of banks and progress under various credit-linked schemes, here on Wednesday. Speaking to the media, the Collector said that a total of 235 bank branches are operating in the district, together mobilising deposits of ₹11,565 crore and extending loans worth ₹21,019 crore. Under crop loans, ₹6,244 crore was disbursed to 3,84,727 farmers, achieving 82 per cent of the ₹7,587-crore target. Mr. Shyam Prasad said that agricultural term loans recorded a strong performance, with ₹2,451 crore disbursed to 86,796 farmers, marking 94.25 per cent achievement against the ₹2,600-crore target. The Collector said that the agriculture sector registered 88 per cent progress, benefiting 4.8 lakh farmers. The MSME sector received ₹1,144 crore, achieving 87.83 per cent of the target, while priority sector lending touched ₹10,501 crore, accounting for 87 per cent achievement. Notably, all banks in the district together surpassed the annual target by December, he said.
