The Erode District Election Officer and District Collector S. Kandasamy on Wednesday (February 25, 2026) held a meeting with 354 officials appointed to various teams in view of the forthcoming 2026 State Assembly elections. According to an official release, a training session was conducted for officials assigned to the Flying Squad, Static Surveillance Team, Video Surveillance Team, Video Viewing Team and Accounting Team as advised by the Election Commission of India. The officials were given detailed training on election-related preparatory works, their responsibilities and the measures to be undertaken during the poll process.
