ISRO Chairperson V. Narayanan | Photo Credit: File photo Indian Space Research Organisation Chairperson V. Narayanan will visit Shivamogga on February 28 to take part in the National Science Day programme, and release a biography of former ISRO scientist B.N. Suresh. The programme, organised by the Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Education, will be held at Kuvempu Rangamandira at 4 p.m. Addressing a press conference in Shivamogga on February 25, foundation chairman Talavane Prakash said that Mr. Narayanan would make a presentation and interact with students from engineering colleges, the post-graduation centre of Kuvempu University, and PU students. B.N. Suresh, a renowned space scientist and recipient of the Padmabhushan, will be present on the occasion. The Kannada version of his biography – Onto Rocket Ship – translated by Turuvanooru Manjunath, will be released on the occasion. The author of the book in English, Sunil Suresh, Kuvempu University Vice-Chancellor Professor Sharath Ananthamurthy, and writer Dr H.S. Nagabhushan will take part in the programmme, he stated. Foundation office-bearers, including secretary B.L. Neelakanta Murthy, Dean H.N.S. Rao, and school principal Shrikant M. Hegde were present at the press conference.
