Vibhu Kochi Metro services in Kerala were disrupted for about an hour on Wednesday (February 25, 2026) morning after a train broke down at MG Road station. The services were halted for around 20 minutes initially as the train developed a technical issue connected to its brake system around 8 a.m. A spare train arrived from the metro’s coach-maintenance depot at Muttom and towed the stranded train to the depot for repair works. The services were resumed gradually after the other trains were allowed to move at a speed of 10 km/hr till the process of towing away the train that developed the snag was completed. It took around 40 minutes, according to the Kochi Metro Rail Ltd authorities.
