Hyderabad police issue public advisory on cyber fraud prevention and reporting

The Hyderabad police issued a fresh public warning outlining precautionary measures against cyber fraud and the procedure to be followed by victims seeking redress.

In the advisory, Commissioner of Police V. C. Sajjanar urged citizens to exercise caution while dealing with online investment and trading offers, particularly those promising “guaranteed returns” or “insider tips” circulated through messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram. People were asked to verify whether the application was recognised by the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
