Steps in place for development of Guntur: Pemmasani

Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar and Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana laid the foundation stone for Inner Ring Road Phase-3 works to be undertaken at a cost of ₹48 crore at Silparamam Junction, here on Saturday. 

On the occasion, Mr. Chandra Sekhar said all necessary steps were being taken for the development of the city and that Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) were under preparation for B.R. Stadium and some other development projects.

Meanwhile, Mr. Narayana said that the government had allocated ₹650 crore to Guntur under AMRUT 2.0 scheme and various works were going on at a brisk pace. 

Mayor Kovelamudi Ravindra, MLAs Naseer Ahmed, Galla Madhavi, B. Ramanjaneyulu, District Collector S. Thameem Ansariya, Guntur Municipal Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu and others were present.
