Two workers died after they accidentally fell from the sixth floor of a medical college building under construction in Hubballi on Tuesday. The accident occurred at KLE Society’s JGM Medical College near Gabbur in the morning when the workers were on the sixth floor of the building. While one worker was declared brought dead, the other, who was grievously injured, breathed his last at KMC-RI Hospital. The deceased have been identified as 46-year-old Mallesh M. Mishiyavar of Attigeri village in Haveri district and 35-year-old Akbar Goususab Sangati of Annigeri in Dharwad district. Labour Minister Santosh Lad visited KMC-RI Hospital on Tuesday night to console the family members of the deceased. He has assured them of extending assistance.
