Storm water drains in Coimbatore will be taken up for cleaning under the Corporation’s ₹35.06 crore allocation across five zones. | Photo Credit: File Photo SIVA SARAVANAN S The Coimbatore Corporation has allocated ₹35.06 crore in the current financial year to undertake desilting of storm water drains across its five zones through contract workers. According to officials, the works will cover ward areas in all zones. The contract workers will remove silt and waste from storm water drains and ensure the flow of rainwater through the network, with the aim of preventing water stagnation on roads.
