The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has directed the Dindigul police to register a case against a man who had filed a habeas corpus petition seeking a direction to the authorities to find his “missing” mother. The woman told the court that the petitioner, her adopted son, had looted her properties by forging her signature in documents. Considering that there was a threat to her life, she said, she was staying at a home in Theni district of her own volition.
